BB STORM 9350 vs Apple iPhone 3G

Who says that Apple iphone 3G has nothing to fear? Lets face it, a lot of so called touch screen phones don't appear to be adapted to touch as much as they would hope and the the apple design beats them hands down in most cases.

However, there's a new phone offered by verizon wireless which is forecasted to give apple the fear it never seemed to have. It's called the blacberry RIM storm 9350.

On the downside some might argue that although it is slightly shorter in height than the iphone, it is not as sleek and it weighs slightly more and the apple's 16G built in memory is more than the 8G you get with the blackberry. Wi-fi is also absent.

But the downsides are not too great or significant in my view. Firstly it's still a very slim design and the difference is really a matter of statistics rather than any value to most consumers.

Secondly, you might only get a 8G memory out of the box, but it has a memory slot for 16G which is something that the iphone does not have. You might argue that apple doesn't need a memory slot because you get 16G out of the box, but the reality is that it limits the expandability totally.

Any how, it is only in these details that the storm is behind and if you read me correctly, I am sure you will recognize that the minor details are too small to make a significant buying choice. Besides it is everywhere else where the storm is seen as an effective competitor and a dangerous foe indeed.

The messaging capabilities of the storm by far outbeats the iphone and you might note that where apple has no messaging clients, the storm comes with a whole load including AOL, MSN, Yahoo and of course BB. The storm is also great for connectivity and more adapted for use as a laptop sidekick.

If you are a camera fan, then the storm is better, too, with a 3.0 megapixel camera as opposed to the iphone's ancient 2.0.

Finally being part of the blackberry brand, it is strong in accessories and is therefore considered excellent value for money.

Truly speaking the iphone is a great phone, but the blackberry smart is really smart indeed and is out to gain some ground.

If your out to get a smart touch screen phone, you will be wise to consider looking at the blackberry even if it is only a source for comparison. There are quite a lot of other touch screens phones out there, but the touch and feel and the usability must surely make the blackberry smart 9350 one of the top choices.
